Visiting Hong Kong has always been about the city, but never have I thought that I could do something within nature without spending too much.
For the first day, I still decided to see the usual things in the city — skyscrapers, Asian food, and a good night out.
and of course… if you’re Filipino you wouldn’t miss this:
But on the following day, I decided to go on a different route, where the mountains and the ocean meet. I went on a hike on “Dragon’s Back” to “Big Wave Bay.” This hike is very easy and can be done by almost anyone in 2-3 hours, and the view from the top is so rewarding.
HOW TO GET THERE:
- Take the MTR to Shau Kei Wan Station.
- From there, took exit A3 to the bus station and transfer to Bus 9, Shek O to To Tei Wan stop which is right in front of the start of the trail
- Note: There will probably a lot of people doing this hike as it is one of the most convenient, so you’ll see many people taking the same transo. Just tag along!
Duration: 2-3 hours
It’s good to know that there’s more to Hong Kong than just the skyscrapers and shopping!
